Speciality film manufacturer, Dubblefilm joins Lomography and Harman (to name a few) in their initiatives to produce alternatives to disposable film camera. On September 10th, they officially launched their own film camera – the SHOW camera.

Specs

  • 32mm Lens f=8
  • Shutter speed 1/125s
  • Focus = 1m to ∞
  • Electric flash powered by one AAA battery (not included)
  • Size: 114mm(W) x 63mm(H) x 35mm(D)
  • Weight: 100g
  • Cotton neck strap
  • 2 color variety: black and pink

SHOW is a fun, affordable 35mm reusable camera with flash. Ready to replace the insanity of disposable cameras as well as providing an alternative to overpriced 2nd hand cameras.

Dubblefilm aims to provide a cost-efficient and a greener alternative to disposable cameras. The price of disposable cameras range from $10-$20. They are cheaper when you pay upfront but it would cost more to have films developed. Single Use (disposable) cameras costs $2 more. If you intend to shoot film more than once, then getting a reusable camera, like the Dubblefilm SHOW, might be a better alternative.

Check out the price from the Darkroom.

Not only do disposable cameras cost more, they can’t be recycled! Once you ship the disposable camera to the lab, they will disassemble it for processing and will most likely dispose of it afterwards.

Where to buy the Dubblefilm SHOW?

This camera is great for those who are dipping their toes into the film photography hobby or are beginners who just want to have a lightweight film camera.

SHOW is available for purchase on the Dubblefilm website for ~$65.

For more information, you may visit the SHOW website.
