Retro51 to close shop by end of 2020

Texas, USA – 30-year old pen manufacturer, Retro51, announced on January 21, 2020 that their team will retire by the end of the year. In their press release, they mentioned that they are going on sabbatical meaning there is a potential of new ownership or a comeback with a new business plan. However, there is a possibility of retiring the brand completely.

Retro51 has been extremely popular within the fountain pen community because of their unique fountain pen designs. Several fountain pen enthusiasts are also huge fans of the Retro51 rollerballs that some consider it one of their best non-fountain pen.

The plan for this year is to stay in business for the next six to nine months as we wind down. 

In the next few months, Retro51 will keep selected items in their inventory for sale but also plan on releasing 5-6 new Popper designs. In addition to that, they are planning to work with dealers/retailers to produce their own exclusive designs.

With regards to services, they are currently making arrangements for someone to be available to service your Retro51 pens. The website will also remain available for product information.
